Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains how vegalegal, operating the Vega Legal website and services ("Vega Legal", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects personal data. We process digital personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Personal data we collect We collect the information you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, business details, service requirements and messages sent through enquiry forms, and, for customers, order records, payment references and the documents you upload to your portal. We also keep basic technical records that are needed to run and secure the website, such as sign-in sessions.
Why we use it We use your personal data to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, deliver the services you engage us for, keep your account and orders working, send service updates, process payments and invoices, meet legal and tax obligations, and prevent misuse of the platform. We process personal data for these purposes on the basis of your consent or for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as performing a service you requested or complying with a legal obligation. We do not sell your personal data.
Please do not submit identity numbers or confidential documents through a general enquiry form. Use your authenticated customer portal when documents are needed for an engagement.
Who can access your data Authorised staff and the professionals assigned to your work can access the information needed for that work. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, and we do not store your full card or bank credentials. Email and WhatsApp updates are sent through service providers; WhatsApp updates are sent only if you opt in. Where a service requires a filing with a government authority or registry, the information required for that filing is submitted to that authority. We may also disclose information where required by law or by a lawful order.
Storage and security Document downloads require an authorised session, and account passwords are stored as hashes, not in readable form. We keep backups of application records and uploaded documents to protect against data loss. We use reasonable security safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Retention We keep personal data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, including completing your engagement, and for any longer period required by law, for example for tax, accounting or regulatory records. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous, subject to our backup cycles.
Cookies and analytics Essential storage keeps your cart and sign-in working. Optional analytics runs only if you allow it in the privacy preferences. Our first-party analytics records aggregate page paths and event counts, without contact details, IP addresses or visitor identifiers. If Google Analytics is enabled, it is also controlled by your analytics preference. You can change your choice at any time from the "Privacy preferences" link. Withdrawing consent stops new optional measurement but does not remove aggregate counts already recorded.
Your rights Subject to applicable law, you may ask for information about the personal data we process about you, ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it, withdraw consent you have given, and nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity. You can change email and WhatsApp preferences from your portal. To make any other request, contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some data may have to be kept where the law requires it.
Questions and grievances For questions or grievances about how your personal data is handled, contact us at dinesh@designanddevelopment.in or +91 9511638160. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with its revision date.
