Editorial policy and review process

This policy explains who writes the guides on the Vega Legal website, the sources we rely on, how each guide is checked before it is published, and how to report a mistake. It applies to the articles in our blog and to the explanatory text on our service pages.

Who writes our guides

Guides are written and maintained by the Vega Legal Editorial Team at Vega Legal, a legal and business services platform based in Jaipur, Rajasthan and managed by D&D Technology. Articles are credited to the team, not to an individual. We do not describe a guide as written, reviewed or approved by an advocate, chartered accountant or company secretary unless that professional is named on the page with their registration details.

Sources we rely on

We work from primary sources: the text of the Act or rules on India Code, and the forms, fee schedules, notifications and circulars published by the authority that administers them. For company and LLP law that is the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (mca.gov.in). For GST it is the GST portal (gst.gov.in) and CBIC (cbic-gst.gov.in). For trademarks it is IP India (ipindia.gov.in). For income tax it is the Income Tax Department (incometax.gov.in). Each guide lists the official sources it was checked against.

How a guide is checked before publication

Every statement of law names the Act, and the section or rule where it matters. Thresholds, fees, form numbers and deadlines are taken from the official source and are described as revisable, because the authorities change them by notification. Some drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools. A guide is published only after it has been checked against the official sources it cites, and any statement we cannot verify is removed.

What we do not publish

We do not publish invented statistics, case outcomes, client testimonials, ratings or reviews. We do not promise government processing times, approvals or results, because those decisions belong to the authority concerned. Where a timeline is mentioned, it is the period stated in the law or rules, not a guarantee.

Keeping guides up to date

Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We recheck a guide when we learn of an amendment, notification or portal change that affects it, and we update the review date when we do.

Commercial relationship

Vega Legal sells the services described in some of its guides, and guides link to the relevant service pages. Professional fees are shown separately from government fees, and most registrations described in our guides can also be filed directly by the applicant on the official portal.

Not legal advice

Our guides explain how a process generally works. They are not legal advice for your situation and do not create a professional relationship. For advice on your facts, speak to a qualified professional.

Corrections

If you think something in a guide is wrong or out of date, email dinesh@designanddevelopment.in with the page address and the correction, ideally with the official source. We review every report, correct confirmed errors and update the page's review date.
